Father we come to You in humility. We acknowledge that You are the Creator of all things. You have made everything with Your hands and You are our provider. You have said in Your words that if we ask, we will receive. Lord, today, I choose to come to You to ask for provision not only for myself but to all who are in need.
I looked around and saw a lot of people who lacked food. Lord, I pray that out of the kindness of Your heart, You will find a way to provide food for these people. Those who are the poorest of the poor, who can barely eat at least three times a day, I pray that You will use other people to feed them. Help them have a fill of their meal by touching a stranger’s heart to share them food.
I pray that those who are working tirelessly will earn enough money to buy their necessities. I pray that they will have enough to cover the needs of their families, that none of them will sleep with empty stomachs.
God, I pray that those who are homeless will find a permanent place to stay. I pray that street children will find loving parents who would adopt them. I pray that elderly people left on the streets will find homes that care for the aged. I pray that they will be taken care of.
I pray that those street dwellers who live in trash will find a place to stay and sufficient food to eat. I pray that You will constantly touch the hearts of others to continue to give and share to the needy. I pray that institutions and organizations will create solid plans of action for them and that funds will be sufficient to carry out their functions effectively.
Lord, help the poor. Hear the cries of the hungry. See the tears of the hopeless. Light their path and bring them hope. Lord, have mercy on them. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
