I’m laying my past before you today, oh merciful God. I’m filled with remorse, shame, and guilt. However, these are only my thoughts. The reality you welcome me into Christ Jesus is one of complete redemption and unconditional renewal. Please thoroughly cleanse me and let my past no longer stand in the way of my future. Allow my emotions to give way to Your truth — that everything is forgiven because You are gracious and not because I am deserving. Amen.
