Lord Jesus, thank You for this day. Thank You for the life that I have and the joy of spending every moment with You. Thank You because You are my protector and restorer. You have created my inmost being and You know exactly how my body functions including my heart and mind. You know every detail, Lord.
You said in Your word that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You are dwelling in me and I am Yours. What a privilege it is to be with You and be filled by You. What great assurance I have that my God is always with me, never leaving me nor forsaking me. I pray that everything I do with my body will declare of Your glory.
I pray that my body will be used according to Your will. I pray that You will grant me sufficient strength to accomplish Your purposes for me. Grant my body good health so that I may be effective in whatever I do. I pray that I will be able to wisely use every bit of energy You give me to work for Your kingdom.
Do not allow me to wallow in laziness or mediocrity. I pray that I will continue to have the mind of Christ in me, using my God-given strength and health to do Your work. May I continue to die to myself daily, beating my body and making it my slave. May I not give in to the desires of my flesh but only to the desires of the Spirit.
More than physical health, I pray that I will continue to have a strong and healthy spiritual life. Continue to sustain me and grow me as a mature Christian. I bring You honor, glory and praise for being the one, true God. You are my King and I worship You. This is my prayer in Jesus’ name.
