Prayer of Deliverance from Depression

Almighty Father, I praise that You remained the same, even when everything around me is changing and unpredictable. I worship You for You are constant, even when I feel unstable. Today, I feel like the enemy has been feeding me with lies. Please sustain me, protect me, and enable me to stand as I am battling with depression. I feel so down, hopeless, helpless and lost. Nobody seems to really understand me. Have mercy on me. I have lost my appetite to eat, and I cannot sleep. Even the necessary daily things are burdensome to me. I feel totally forsaken by all.

But, Lord, I know that Your love for us is great. You love me so much that You gave Your very life for my sake. Only You can understand me and care for me. I have no one else to turn to. I need Your help now. Holy Spirit, fill me with Your sweet Presence, and remove this feeling of depression from me. Forgive me, Lord, from all my sins. Wash my soul by the precious Blood of Jesus. I will put my hope in You, because You are in control.

Lead me to the right source of help, God. Thank you for understanding what I am going through, and that Your Word tells me that even Your Son went through hard times emotionally. You also said in Your word that You will never leave me nor forsake me. Lord, if I have any anger and unforgiveness towards anyone, teach me how to let go. I ask You to bless the person I am angry with and that forgiveness will flow wholeheartedly. Father, I thank You for hearing my prayer. I know You will help me overcome this depression and give me Your peace. All these I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
